Our Story
Founded on a crisp autumn morning in the early 2000s, Elite Hunting Outfitters was born from a passion for the great outdoors and a reverence for the tradition of hunting.
Our founders, Joe Cooper & Vorseter Du Randt, shared a vision of creating a premier hunting outfitter service that stood above the rest—not just in providing top-tier destinations and expert guides but in crafting unparalleled hunting experiences for enthusiasts around the globe. As our reputation grew, so did our offerings.
We are headquartered in the Florida Everglades and have expanded our operations in South Africa in the past few years. Cooper partnered with Vorseter Du Randt, a seasoned professional hunter and South African native, to bring our African adventures to life.
Du Randt’s African roots help us provide excellent localized experiences, but all of our hunts are coordinated from our American-owned and operated HQ. We invite you to join us on this adventure and provide an extraordinary experience that will make your jaw drop.

Joe Cooper
Co-Founder
I’m Joe Cooper, co-owner of Elite Hunting Outfitters. My journey began in South Florida, where I started hunting at age six in the cypress swamps and oak hammocks, pursuing wild boars, whitetail deer, Osceola turkey, and alligators.
Over the years, my passion expanded to the ocean, where I became one of Florida’s top freedivers, winning numerous spearfishing competitions, exploring remote waters around the world and even breaking world records that are still in my name today.
After college, I returned to land-based hunting, living independently on my family’s ranch in rural Florida. My life changed during my first trip to South Africa, where I felt an incredible connection to the land, as if it had always been home. Now, my mission with Elite Hunting Outfitters is to share this passion and unforgettable experiences with others in the breathtaking landscapes of South Africa.
Vorseter Du Randt
Co-Founder
I am a proud co-owner of Elite Hunting Outfitters, based in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, where I grew up on a farm in the mountains of the Pearston area. As a child, I developed a deep passion for hunting, which has been a constant in my life. At just four years old, I had the privilege of taking my first kudu. After shooting that bull, I knew at that young age that I want this to be my job one day.
I grew up guiding with my dad which began my journey in hunting and guiding that lead to earning my professional hunters license in 2016. Today, I am fortunate to call the outdoors my office.
In addition to my professional pursuits, I am happily married and the father to a baby boy. I feel incredibly blessed to be able to raise him in an environment where he can experience and be part of nature firsthand.
